Overview
An app for badminton communities: player roster, dated sessions across multiple courts, automatic matchmaking, scores & shuttlecocks, billing and rankings — all data stays on the device.
The Problem
Community organizers usually shuffle pairs, keep scores and calculate fees by hand on paper or in chat, which is often unfair and error-prone.
Approach
A matchmaking engine weights players by 1/(games played + 1)² so those who've played least are favoured, keeps grades balanced, respects rest time, and avoids repeated partnerships.
Solution
Built with Next.js and packaged as an Android APK via Capacitor; on-device SQLite (sql.js), backup/restore to a single .db file, automatic billing with a payment QR, cost vs. revenue summary, and win-rate rankings per grade.
Results
Needs no server, account or internet; available as an Android APK and a web version on Vercel.
